First Thing's First

I'm still here. Today is my second day back at work. I have been wading through a weeks worth of work and I can almost see the woodgrain of my desk.

I've been catching up on emails. I have failed to call my step-mom as promised to let her know we arrived home safely. I avoided my laptop last night in favor of watching "The Office" while cuddling with my husband. Life after a vacation is hectic. It is a far cry from deciding if the waiter will be visiting my lounge chair soon, or if the swim up bar would be a better option for obtaining the perfect margarita.

Sigh

Five minutes ago I bravely opened my Google Reader to find 568 unread posts. I should feel panicked. I should feel overwhelmed. Instead I feel the intense desire to find out what you all have been up to while I cavorted in Mexico.

I missed you without realizing it.

My blog is going to sit for a couple more days. I have a lot of posts that I want to read. I'm coming to visit you but I may not have time to leave comments. Right now I want to eagerly soak up your words and find out what adventures the last two weeks have brought you.

I'll be back soon.

Welcome back... and glad to hear that I'm not the only one with so many unread Google Reader posts! The more blogs I add to the reader, the worse it gets! Just wish I had been in Mexico too!

hey amy,
thanks for stopping by and for leaving a comment :-)
i just want to let you know that the word verification letters i need to type in to leave this comment are ::ufkyfgl:: which seems to me to be the makings of a pretty cool word, hmmm. what could it mean? perhaps that would be the word i would use to describe the crazy woman who didn't think hubunit was hot!
ha!
ciao bella.

I took about 9 days off from GR and even after 3 hours on non-stop blog reading, I STILL have 1000+unread. That'll teach me to ever go and have a life!

Hope your Mexico vacation was fantastic.

Boy do I understand how you feel! I really enjoy reading your posts!! I can't wait to see til the next one :) Sorry I have not been blogging lately! I have been taping shows which I am excited about because I was able to post them on my blog YAY!! If you get a chance to check it out, then let me know what you think. http://www.dishingwithdebbie.com The more feedback I get the better I can make the segments Also, your stories are great and my whole idea behind this show is for other moms to share real stories like you do. Sponsors are donating neat prizes like chocolate baskets and mini-chef aprons and way cool cookery stuff. Anyway, I’d love to hear from you.

Four word for you,

"Mark all as read"

If not, that's some mighty bloggy dedication, woman! Glad to see you back :)

After a slight heart attack... i put the wrong addres in the browser and came up with some other page and for one nano second I thought you had dumped your blog or moved without telling me. Terrible...terrible feeling. With our lives so busy, how would I stay in touch???? AHHHH... phew, I found you and I must say that while others might be bummed to have not seen any blogs for the past month, I AM HAPPY!!! I have been so busy I haven't kept up and thought I would have missed TONS... and when that happens I tend to go on an Amy Seibel BINGE of mass proportions. The "2am not only reading yours but all of your friends hung over in the morning" kind. Luckily, I only had to read 2 and i was caught up. Welcome back... now we have to plan our get together!!!! Love you & I miss you TERRIBLY! Amy

Hope things are going well for you!

My recommendation on your google reader is to just mark them ALL as read and start new. Less overwhelming, and you know your favorite bloggers and will get caught up on those you truly care to.

Take care!
